The Irish Life Dublin Marathon Expo is where marathon weekend truly begins. Thousands of runners arrive at the RDS to collect their race packs, soak up the atmosphere and make their final preparations before Sunday. It is exciting, inspiring and, for many people, the moment when race week suddenly feels real.
If you're visiting the Irish Life Dublin Marathon Expo, the Body & Sole section is your opportunity to step away from the crowds for a few minutes. Our 15 and 30 minute Mind + Body sessions are designed to help runners ease physical tension, take a breath and reconnect with themselves before race day, with optional OlyLife P90, 10 minute experience also available throughout the two days at the Expo.
By race week, the hard work has already been done. The long runs are behind you, your taper has begun and your body is preparing to perform. What often changes in those final days is not your fitness, but your mind. Pace plans, weather forecasts, sleep, race logistics and the anticipation of Sunday can quickly become louder than the training itself.
Our Mind + Body sessions are built around that experience. They are not another workout or another thing to add to your checklist. They are an opportunity to ease physical tension, step away from the noise of race week and reconnect with mind and body before race day.
Every runner arrives at the Expo differently. Some people feel calm and excited, others are carrying physical tension through the shoulders, back or legs, while many simply want a few quiet minutes away from the crowds before Sunday.
Our sessions are designed around that experience. You don't need to know anything about Spinal Flow®, Spinal Energetics™ or the OlyLife P90 beforehand. We'll explain everything simply and help you choose what feels right for you.
Perfect if you're short on time or looking for a quick reset before race day. A focused one-to-one session designed to ease physical tension, step away from the noise of race week and leave feeling more connected to both mind and body.
A deeper one-to-one experience with more time to slow down and fully switch off from the busy Expo environment. Your session may include Spinal Flow®, Spinal Energetics™ or Reiki, depending on what feels most appropriate for you.
An optional add-on for runners who are curious about the OlyLife P90. Using gentle pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology, it offers another complementary wellbeing experience alongside your Mind + Body session. We'll explain how it works on the day and answer any questions before you decide. Important: Please read the OlyLife P90 contraindications and safety information before booking.
Marathon runner offer: Enjoy 10% off your 45-minute Recover & Flow small-group session. Dublin takes place at Oscailt on Monday 26 October. Cork and Clare dates and venues are to be confirmed.
Crossing the finish line is an incredible achievement, but the days that follow can bring a different experience. Your legs may feel heavy, your back and shoulders may be tight, and after months of training and the effort of race day, you may simply feel exhausted. You have spent so much time preparing your body to run miles. Now it deserves a little care and attention of its own.
On Monday 26 October, we're bringing Recover & Flow to Oscailt Integrative Health Centre, Pembroke Rd., Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Offering marathon runners a chance to take some time for themselves after the Irish Life Dublin Marathon. These are intimate shared sessions for a maximum of three runners, with two practitioners in the room. If you've run with a club, trained alongside a friend or crossed the finish line together, this is a lovely opportunity to come along and share the experience of taking care of yourselves.
In a calm serene environment, each 45-minute session combines individual attention with the supportive atmosphere of a small group. Our two practitioners work with each runner, offering personalised Spinal Flow®, Spinal Energetics™ or Reiki, depending on what feels appropriate and comfortable for them. There is no expectation to move, stretch, explain how you feel or do anything that your body is not ready for. We take the time to listen and adapt the experience to the person in front of us.
Spinal Flow® and Spinal Energetics™ offer gentle, non-forceful approaches that work with the spine, body awareness and the nervous system. After a demanding race, you may appreciate having a quiet space to pause, breathe and notice how your body is feeling. Reiki offers another complementary approach to relaxation and wellbeing. The work is individual, and your experience may be quite different from the person beside you.
There is also something lovely about sharing this time with people who understand what it took to get to the start line and cross the finish. You have encouraged one another through training, early mornings and the miles that seemed to go on forever. Now you can come together in a quieter setting, enjoy some individual care and allow yourselves a little time away from the demands of the race.
These sessions are intended as complementary wellbeing support, not as a treatment for running injuries or a promise of faster muscle recovery. If you are injured, experiencing significant pain or concerned about symptoms after the marathon, please seek appropriate medical advice before booking.

This year's marathon campaign is built around four simple stages of the runner's journey. Whether you're training for your first Dublin Marathon or your tenth, every stage matters.
Prepare • Train your body. Prepare your mind.
Race Week • Trust your training. Take care of yourself.
Race Day • Take a breath. Find your rhythm.
Recover • Rest your body. Reflect on the journey.
The Expo is Stage 3 of that journey. Before the crowds, before the start line and before the gun goes, give yourself a few minutes to reconnect with both mind and body.

Yes. We recommend booking your 15 or 30 minute session in advance to guarantee your preferred time, although walk-ins are welcome whenever availability allows.
Do I need to know what Spinal Flow®, Spinal Energetics™ or Reiki is?
Not at all. Many runners are completely new to these approaches. We will explain everything on the day and help you choose the session that feels right for you.
Rachel Brennan is the founder of Love & Light Ireland and one of Ireland's leading practitioners trained in both Spinal Flow® and Spinal Energetics™. Her approach is grounded in listening first, creating a calm environment and supporting people through complementary nervous system awareness.
